Make Baby Shower Thank You Cards
Make these cute Baby Shower cards to thank your guest for spending time with you (and for any gifts you might receive)
I have used scrapbook papers to make these cards, there are so many great designs. Grab some super cheap card for the card base and look for a nice scrapbook design. One 12x12 sheet will make panels for 6 cards. Lucky for me my bf came home one day with boxes of white cardboard that they were throwing out at work so all I had to do was buy the patterned paper (which was on sale of course!!!) Buttons and ribbon were all from good will. All in all very cheap thank you cards - my favorite kind.
Supplies:
-
8½" x 11" Cardstock will yield two 4¼"x5½" cards
-
Patterned paper - I like to use scrapbooking papers, .
-
Color Coordinated card stock
-
Random buttons in colors coordinating with your papers
-
Coordinating ribbon (approx 13" per card)
-
Basic supplies - Adhesives, scissors or paper trimmer
-
These cards are made to fit A2 envelopes
Assemble Baby Shower Thank You Cards
-
Cut your 8½" x 11" Cardstock in half lengthwise
-
Take one of the pieces and fold it in half to create your card base.
-
From the patterned scrapbook paper cut out a 4" x 5¼" panel.
-
Now take your length of ribbon and wrap it around the panel - lengthwise toward the left hand side. knot it on the front with a square knot (or double knot) Trim the edges of the ribbon on an angle.
-
Write the words 'Thank You' on to the Color Coordinated card stock and cut them out carefully. You can type 'thank you' several times on your word processing tool on your computer then print it directly on to the card (allow enough space between to allow you to cut them out) You may stamp the text or simply choose to write it yourself (note I hand wrote the text for these cards with a black ball point pen)
-
Cut a rectangle around the text and matt it then stick it to the front panel
-
Randomly place 2 or 3 buttons on and stick them down with glue dots.
-
Stick the panel to the front of your card.
Tips
-
Go over the text with some glossy accent or diamond glaze to give it a bit of oomph.
-
Make the text block 'pop' by sticking it with some double sided foam tape.
