Elegant Layered Homemade Wedding Invitations
Elegant layered homemade wedding invitations are not that difficult to make. With the help of your own word processing software, a free font or two and some stylish card you can turn out some lovely invitations like these offerings without breaking the bank. See our DIY tutorial for better in depth instructions and tips to make this style of invitation.
A couple of simply stated wedding invitations by Charity. The invitation details have been printed onto white cardstock - 3 to a page, cut and then matted with co-ordinating colored card stock to add strength.
How to create the accents
After the text has been printed on to the top layer, a couple of rubber stamping techniques have been used to embellish the cards. The first is to stamp directly onto the top layer. There is some risk of ruining your invitation as you can sometimes stamp a less than perfect image (sometimes a downright horrible image). The second is to stamp the image on to white cardstock or coordinating card (far less risk), cut around the image leaving a small border and then sticking the finished accent to the top layer of the invite. A combination of these two techniques have also been used.
