DIY Ice Hockey Invitations

Homemade invitation ideas
Shaped cards
You can cut round fold over cards in the shape of a hockey puck OR in the shape of a hockey stick. The invitation wording can be handwritten on the inside or you can use your computer to create the text and print to your home printer.
Stick and tag invites
Purchase mini hockey sticks from a novelty store, type up your invitation on a small tag and tie the tag to the hockey stick with a piece of twine. Other novelty items that you can find cheap on Ebay include novelty hockey stick pens, buttons, charms etc.
If you are lucky enough to find wooden or plastic hockey sticks that aren't too small, you can write the information directly on to it with a permanent marker.
Puck label
Print up the party details on to a circle of card, paper or adhesive paper that will fit nicely onto a real (or novelty) hockey puck. Stick the label to the puck with glue.
Team Jersey
Make your invitation into the shape of a hockey jersey and use the age of the birthday boy or girl as the player number. Put the party details inside the card.
Make a card with hockey embellishments
Make a card and use a hockey stick and puck as embellishments, you can cut these from card or purchase small hockey related charms and buttons. Check out your craft store for these items.

Create a cover of a sports magazine with your child as the main feature.
